A WORD ABOUT JEFF MATSON AWARD WINNER HECTOR CORIS
2006 CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE JEFF MATSON AWARD winner Hector Coris is a singer, dancer, actor, writer, graphic artist, songwriter, cabaret performer, producer, director, web designer and good friend of just about everyone he meets. He recently won awards for Best Musical and Best Original Score (along with composer Paul L. Johnson) at the 2005s "Fresh Fruit Festival" (http://www.freshfruitfestival.com/ ) for the show "What's Your Problem?" which will be performed this Saturday, June 24th at 7:00 pm at UPSTAIRS AT ROSE'S TURN (55 Grove Street, NYC - 1-212-366-5438 - http://www.rosesturn.com/ ) and will also be returning this summer. "What's Your Problem?" was also named one of the top 5 revues by CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE in 2005. It will also be performed in the "Harvest Festival" (http://www.villagescene.com/vspindex.html ) in Montreal this September. Hector recently performed in "Revusical Part Twosical" at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts and has appeared in many more musicals, cabaret shows and revues in NYC and Brooklyn. He has also appeared on nearly every cabaret stage in NYC in some show or another.

Hector's vitality and zest for life, his creative spirit and talent, his skills as designer, writer, performer, director, plus his support of fellow performers makes him a truly deserving recipient of the JEFF MATSON AWARD.
