Boston-based songwriter and singer Krisanthi Pappas writes music and lyrics in the genres of cabaret, jazz and light pop. Her songs have been recorded on her own CDs as well as performed by others in such shows as Boston Sings Boston, Stop The Presses (Washington DC) and many other concerts by solo performers in Boston, New England and New York City.
You can hear Krisanthi singing her original music and lyrics on ABC television's "One Life To Live", NBC's "Passions" and HereTV's "The Lair". You can also hear her performing her original song "One Slow Dance A Day" in the 2008 Mayon Film movie "Green River" and her song "If I Had Only Known" in the 2008 Lazy Susan Productions film "Tying The Not". Krisanthi's CDs are played on jazz and cabaret radio stations and programs throughout the Boston area and several states nationwide.
Krisanthi's song "If I Had Only Known" is featured on the compilation CD distributed to the European subscribers of Jazz Magazine along with a full feature article in the March 2008 issue. Her song "You and Me By The Christmas Tree" was released December 2007 on a holiday compilation CD by Crescent Music and Media, based out of North Carolina.
Krisanthi's song "One Slow Dance A Day" is the 2006 3rd place Jazz Winner of the prestigious Billboard World Song Contest. She also tied for first place in Cabaret Hotline Online 2006 Members' Choice Songwriters' Favorite Song Award for her song "My Back Yard".
