Natalie Douglas, along with her band - Tedd Firth (piano), Essiet Okun Essiet (bass), Daniel Glass (drums) - will perform for one night only at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080 - ) on Sunday, June 10th with shows at 9:00 & 11:00 pm. A set of gorgeous pipes, combined with effortless vocal styling and inspiring song interpretation are the hallmarks of nightclub diva, Natalie Douglas, a seven-time MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets) Award Winner, as well as recipient of the Nightlife and Backstage Bistro Awards. Her recent musical tributes to Nina Simone, Lena Horne, Nat "King" Cole and Cafe Society have had Birdland audiences on their feet clapping long and loud and yelling for more. Natalie's second CD, "To Nina ... Live At Birdland," was released to critical delight and selections from that CD and her first CD, "Not That Different," continue to be heard on NPR and Sirius Radio. The cast will perform sensuous steamy and soulful ballads, up tempo, patter songs, and comic opera. They will honor all those who strive to reach for the stars and follow their dreams no matter what obstacles may be in the way. NYC: JIM CARUSO & BILLY STRITCH SUNDAYS IN JUNE AT BEMELMANS BAR

Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch will be performing swinging standards at the legendary BEMELMAN'S BAR at the CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-570-7189) every Sunday in June from 9:00 pm until midnight. The two performers, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. Caruso and Stritch will be joined by bassist Steve Doyle. Jim Caruso recently made his Broadway debut alongside Liza Minnelli in the Tony Award-winning smash hit Liza's At The Palace!, singing, dancing and celebrating the music and arrangements of the late, great Kay Thompson and the Williams Brothers. For his nightclub work, Caruso has won six MAC, two Nightlife and two BackStage Bistro Awards for his sold-out New York shows at Birdland, the Algonquin Hotel, and Arci's Place; and has also performed in clubs in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Palm Beach Hotel and London. Billy Stritch is one of the premier singer-pianists on the New York and national jazz and cabaret scene. His most recent nightclub act "Billy Stritch Sings the Mel Torme Songbook" earned rave reviews from the New York critics. Stritch has appeared in cabaret venues across the nation as well as concert performances at the London Palladium, NHK Hall in Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro's Municipale Auditorium. NYC: ARTURO O'FARRILL & THE AFRO-LATIN JAZZ ORCHESTRA

Grammy Award-winning pianist, composer and educator Arturo O'Farrill will be performing on Sundays through March at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) with shows at 9:00 & 11:00 pm. O'Farrill was born in Mexico and grew up in New York City. Son of the late, great composer Chico O'Farrill, Arturo was Educated at Manhattan School of Music, Brooklyn College Conservatory and the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. He played piano in Carla Bley's Big Band from 1979 through 1983 and earned a reputation as a soloist in groups led by Dizzy Gillespie, Steve Turre, Freddy Cole, Lester Bowie, Wynton Marsalis and Harry Belafonte. After leading his late father's orchestra for many years, Arturo formed his own band, The Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra in order to explore his and other compositions in the panoply of Afro-Latin music. NYS: BROKERAGE COMEDY CABARET PRESENTS ANDRE & CIRELL

THE BROKERAGE COMEDY CABARET (Bellmore, NY - 516-785-8655 - ) presents the musical comedy team of Bobby Andre and Frank Cirell for one show only on Sunday, June 10th at 2:00 pm. L.A.: STEPHEN FOSTER RETURNS AS BETTE DAVIS IN BITCHSLAP!

Stephen Foster returns to the stage after a long absence at Bette Davis in "BitchSlap!" (A comedy about Bette Davis/Joan Crawford and Hedda Hopper) in the West Coast premiere of the show at MACHA THEATRE/FILMS (1107 North Kings Road, West Hollywood, CA - 323-314-6332). The show is written by Darrin Hagin and Produced and Directed by Odalys Nanin. Others in the cast are Michael Taylor Gray, Therese Mc Laughlin, Aly Trasher and Jeanne Carr. The show previews on Friday, May 11th and begins it's official run on Saturday, May 19th with performances Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 7:00 pm through June 16th. SF: SONY HOLLAND IN WELCOME HOME CONCERTS AT THE RRAZZ ROOM

Sony Holland, the acclaimed vocalist who is a longtime San Francisco favorite, will return to RRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189 - ) with a series of concerts to welcome her back to the Bay Area. Performances are Thursday & Friday, June 7th & 8th at 8:00 pm; Saturday, June 9th at 9:00 pm; and Sunday, June 10th at 7:00 pm. Dr. Jolene is a sexy German psychologist, with a penchant for discipline, punishment and sequins. She will take you on a trip through a cavalcade of broken hearts and shattered dreams sharing secrets, songs and some unconventional analysis. She'll introduce you to some of her favourite clients and shed light on the mysteries of the human mind. Written and performed by Jo Loth and accompanied by Damien Slingsby. The practice-led research project explored the application of therapeutic models to the creation of a cabaret performance. Billie Williams' new show "Fade to Blues" will be performed at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Friday, June 8th at 9:30 pm and Friday, June 15th at 7:00 pm. As a teenager growing up in the Boston area, Billie Williams co-founded the country swing band Columbus East. She went on the sing with the rock band Mezz, and then with the 8-piece R&B band City Edition, and during those years she shared the stage with R&B legends Wilson Pickett and Sam & Dave. When Billie arrived in New York City in her late 20s, she landed a gig as lead vocalist with blues band The Lenny Nelson Project. After she gave birth to her daughter, she took a bunch of years off from performing, but got back in the game a few years ago in cabaret workshops and a show "Sentimental Journeys," in which she appeared with actress/singer Jean Tafler and vocalist Tracy Toler. Now Billie is finally ready to launch her debut solo cabaret show "Fade to Blues," in which she will wrap her rich and evocative voice around classic songs made famous by Ruth Brown, Etta James, Peggy Lee, Sippi Wallace, and Ray Charles. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. NYC: NEW MONDAYS AT 54 BELOW - KICK OFF SHOW AT OF NEW ROOM

A new Monday night series, "New Mondays at 54 BELOW" premiers on Monday, June 4th at 7:00 pm at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551). Designed to celebrate the work of some of New York's most exciting new songwriters for the musical theatre, the series also salutes some of Broadway's most legendary talents, all debuting their newest work. Be the first to hear the hit songs from some of Broadway's newest musicals directly from the composers (and their guest vocalists) themselves. This week will showcase New Work from Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, Steve Marzullo, and David Zippel (including a tune he wrote for an abandoned musical version of TOOTSIE). NYC: WILLIAM BLAKE IN "ECHOES OF ETTA" AT BIRDLAND

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presents the return of William Blake to perform his new show, "Echoes of Etta" at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, June 4th at 7:00 pm. Blake, along with music director Michael Thomas Murray at the keys, Oscar Bautista on guitar, Steve Kelly on drums, Mike Preen on bass, Matthew Polashek on sax and the Peaches on backup, will celebrate the musical legacy of Etta James. From Etta's first #1 hit, "The Wallflower (Roll With Me, Henry)" to her quintessential "At Last," this concert will give a glimpse into the extraordinary career of an amazing artist. William Blake is a native of Dallas and has been performing professionally since the age of 19. As an actor, his regional musical theater credits include The Who's Tommy (Cousin Kevin), Chicago (Mary Sunshine), and The Rocky Horror Show (Riff Raff). NYC: MELANIE STACE IN "SIRENS OF THE SILVER SCREEN"

FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095) presents the debut of British West End TV and singing star, Melanie Stace on Sunday & Monday, June 3rd & 4th, and Sunday & Monday, September 16th & 17th, all shows at 8:00 pm. "Sirens of the Silver Screen," her new show which marks her debut at the club, is a personal love letter to the talented and beautiful singing ladies of Hollywood featuring songs from Doris Day, Judy Garland, Betty Hutton, Rosemary Clooney, Liza Minnelli, Marilyn Monroe, Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler and Michelle Pfeiffer. Ms. Stace is backed by her New York based quartet under the direction of Musical Director and accompanist, Doug Oberhamer, Greg Chudzik on bass, David Anthony on drums and Tony Romano on guitar. Melanie Stace was first introduced to television audiences as the popular co-presenter of BBC Television's primetime flagship Saturday night program "The Generation Game," which she co-presented over a period of six years. She quickly became a household name and personality, much in demand both on TV and in theatre. During this time, she appeared on many leading entertainment TV shows, including "The Royal Variety Performance" in the presence of HRH the Prince on Wales, and amongst other honors was presented with the "Through The Keyhole" key by Sir David Frost when she appeared on the television show. NYC: JIM CARUSO'S "CAST PARTY" MONDAYS AT BIRDLAND

Every Monday night at 9:30 pm, Broadway impresario Jim Caruso hosts "Cast Party", a combination open-mic, networking event and party at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) during which the biggest stars on Broadway relax on their night off by performing their favorite songs in an informal setting. The night should be a delightful and refreshing journey through the classic and complex repertoire of The American Popular Songbook, as interpreted by two of Chicago's leading ladies. Katya Smirnoff-Skyy will take you on a boozy, comedic romp around the world at RRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189 - ) on Monday & Tuesday, June 4th & 5th at 8:00 pm with her new show "The Gypsy in My Soul".
